We got our first Great Dane Shadow in 1991. Shortly thereafter we got her half
brother Rajah. All in all we have had 7 Great Danes, Shadow, Rajah, General,
Duchess, Tawnie, Butler and Tasha living in our house at one time or another.
At one time we had 4 Danes, a Shelti and a Cocker Spaniel all at once. Needless
to say we are Great Dane Lovers.

We have shown our Danes in confirmation since 1992 and been active in
obedience as well. Maurveen works in a veterinary hospital and has been an
obedience trainer in California. I have always had a dog of on sort or another
since I was a kid. I have had sporting as well as working dogs almost all of my
life.

We started rescuing Great Danes unofficially about 4 years ago (1997) and
officially started Utah Great Dane Rescue in 1999. Since December 1999 we
have successfully placed in GOOD permanant homes more than 35 Great Danes and 1
Dane/Shepherd cross.
